Meeting with the Minister of Labor

The president of the association, Engineer Samir Owais, accompanied by both engineer Mahmoud Al-Tubaishi and engineer Anwar Haddad, met with Her Excellency the Minister of Labor on Thursday, 5/23, where the association was introduced, and then the issue of the shortage of agricultural labor available for the agricultural sector and the reluctance of Jordanians to work in the agricultural sector was discussed, and it was pointed out that Labor in the agricultural sector constitutes more than 70% of production costs, and investments that were built on assumptions related to labor prices have become threatened with closure, amounting to billions.
 

Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables

The Agricultural Business Association met with the Board of Directors of the Jordan Exporters and Producers Association for Fruit and Vegetables at their association’s headquarters, and it was emphasized that there must be coordination with the entire agricultural sector first in building one correct body and unifying the vision, and that some should not be fought for the sake of the country, and that there should be no personal interests.
 

The Agricultural Materials Traders & Producers Association

The Agricultural Business Association met with the Council of Association at the union’s headquarters. During the meeting, the importance of having one body that fully constitutes the agricultural sector, such as the Jordan Chamber of Agriculture, was explained, so that it can solve common issues with all government institutions.

The Agricultural Business Association met with the Council of the Agricultural Engineers Association. During the meeting, the importance of the union’s role in cooperation was clarified and that the sector’s interest lies in resolving common issues with all institutions.

The Agriculture and Water Committee in the Senate, chaired by Dr. Akef Al-Zoubi, , during its meeting with members of the Board of Directors of the Jordanian Agricultural Business Association, was briefed on the association’s vision, objectives, tasks and role in supporting the agricultural sector.
 

The Inauguration Ceremony of the Jordan Agribusiness Association
