Meeting with the Agricultural Engineers Association

 

A meeting was held at the Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, between the Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers, represented by the Syndicate of Agricultural Engineers, Engineer Ali Abu Nuqtah, the Deputy Chairman, Engineer Saed Al-Dhaher, the Secretary of the Council, Engineer Shadi Al-Qaisi, and the Council Member, Engineer Ashraf Al-Deiri, and the Agricultural Business Association, represented by the President of the Association. Engineer Samir Owais, Vice President, Engineer Mahmoud Al-Tubaishi, Deputy Treasurer, Mr. Fouad Abu Al-Sheikh, members of the administrative body, Engineer Muhammad Darawi, and members of the general body, Engineer Muhammad Al-Hamoud and Engineer Anwar Haddad. Engineer Samir Owais gave a presentation about the association, its goals and role in adopting important issues in the agricultural sector, the role expected from it, and how it positively intersects with agricultural civil society institutions. He stressed the importance of the role of the Agricultural Engineers Syndicate as the first union we meet with because it constitutes the common denominator with everyone and the main pillar in the sector. A proposal to hold a meeting for all boards of directors of agricultural associations and unions in the Kingdom to discuss the most important major issues in the sector to reduce dispersion and find ways of dialogue and confront challenges as it is a sector in need of support.
 
A member of the General Body of the Association, Engineer Anwar Haddad, explained that the Association’s role also lies in addressing the main common challenges such as employment, water, energy, marketing, and others that face the sector, apart from the private interests of each specialized sub-sector, and that the sector’s interest is in a solution, and one of the most important things that the Association can adopt is Worked to establish the Jordan Chamber of Agriculture to defend the interests of the sector and presented a proposal to create a joint committee that would draw a road map for joint work for the union and the association in the next stage.
 
For his part, the head of the Engineers Syndicate welcomed the administrative body of the association and expressed his support and joint work to unify efforts towards the step of establishing the Jordan Chamber of Agriculture.
 
He explained the importance of the role of the union and its cooperation with the association because the demands are the same, in addition to becoming a point of attraction for all unions and associations and heading towards a common goal in establishing a chamber of agriculture. Jordan. He expressed the union’s readiness to form a joint committee to develop a plan and a working paper to clarify what will take place during the consultative meeting with all unions and associations to find a road map and present it to the government. At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to establish the committee of 5 people (Engineer Muhammad Al-Hamoud, Mr. Fouad Abu Al-Sheikh, Engineer Muhammad Al-Daraawi, Engineer Ashraf Al-Dairi, and Engineer Saed Al-Zahir). To establish the axes of agreement and a roadmap for joint action between the union and the association.
